SENIORS: Due Dates are Approaching! Seniors: Reminder that the deadline to turn in your project graduation contract, senior t-shirt order forms, and pictures for the senior video is Wednesday, March 4th. It is very important that the Project Graduation planning team know how many students are planning to attend this fun-filled evening of table games, hypnotist, scavenger hunt, swimming, cash machine, and much, much more. You won't want to miss this sure to be memorable event!
Rural Electric Youth Tour High School Juniors Washington D.C. Rural Electric Youth Tour 2015: Ozark Electric is sending two high school juniors on an all-expense paid trip to Washington D.C. this summer, June 12-18. CU Success Scholarship Information regarding the 2015 CU Success Scholarship can be found on the NHS website under Counselor’s Notes. This scholarship is $1,000 non-renewable and is available to members of the Educational Community Credit Union.
Scholarship The Hawthorn Bank is offering a $1,000 scholarship to any senior interested in pursuing a career in finance or banking. More information and the application can be found on the NHS website under the Counselor’s Notes.
UMSL Representative A representative from UMSL will be here on March 4th during STAR. There is a sign-up sheet in the counseling center.
Pre College Classas at GWU Juniors and Seniors interested in Pre college classes at George Washington University can log on to precollege.gwu.edu for information. More information is also available in the counselors’ office.
MSU Public Affairs Academy Missouri State is holding a Public Affairs Academy July 19-26. This academy is open to current sophomores and juniors. You must have a 3.0 or higher GPA, a recommendation from a counselor or teacher, a record of community involvement and the willingness to attend the entire academy. NHS Mascot Tryouts! Nixa High School Mascot Tryouts for 2015-2016 NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! If you are involved in a different sport or activity, mascot in your off season. Open gym: March 9th and 16th (optional) 7- 8:30pm High school auxiliary gym (work with the current mascot and try on the suit.) Tryouts: Thurday April 9th at 7-9pm in the Auxiliary gym. NHS Cheer Tryouts High School cheerleading Tryouts will be soon under way.
