Ready-Set-Register for Summer School! Registration for summer school is OPEN! Go to the NHS summer school page for course descriptions and a link to the registration form. We hope to see you there!


Attention Algebra I & Algebra Concepts Students Attention students taking Algebra I or Algebra Concepts: The math department will be providing review sessions for the End of Course Exam for these two courses. There are 3 review sessions after school from 2:40 to 3:40 on April 16th, 23rd, and 29th. There are also 3 review sessions in the evening from 6:00 to 7:30 on April 15th, 21st, and 30th. You may attend multiple sessions, and teachers want to encourage you to do so. Buses will run following the after school sessions for those who filled out the bus form for the after school session days. These are being sent home along with a parent letter about our End of Course Exams. To ride the bus, you must already be a bus rider and the form must be turned in by the Friday before the review session. The dates for the Algebra End of Course Exam are May 5th - 7th.


COLLEGE SIGNING... Marcus Johnson will be signing with UMKC on Wednesday, April 22 at 2:45 pm in the Nixa High School library for cross-country and track. All are welcome to attend.


NHS Dance Team Nixa High School Dance Team: It's not too late to join the 2015-2016 Nixa High School Dance Team. Practices begin April 20th. Stop by room 237 or email Coach Nelson at hollynelson@nixaschools.net for more details!


Soroptimist Lollar Scholarship Information regarding the $1,500 Soroptimist Lollar Scholarship is available on the counselor’s website and in the counseling center. The deadline to be considered for this scholarship is April 30, 2015.


GSA Exciting Announcement!!! The GSA is excited to announce its first public event at 6:30 p.m. on April 20 in the auditorium. Nationally-acclaimed activist and author Zach Wahls will be speaking about why we should create safe spaces for students to responsibly explore their identities, the need for diversity in high school curricula, and the importance of courage in confronting the challenges youth face as they grow into adults. The event is open to the public, so feel free to invite your family and friends.


White River Valley Electric Trust Scholarship Information regarding the White River Valley Electric Trust Scholarship is available on the Counselor’s Page. The deadline to complete is May 1st.


Counselor Internship-Salvation Army The Salvation Army is looking for counselor interns to work 20-40 per week. This internship is open to students ages 15-18. The deadline to apply is May 1st. More information can be found in the counseling center or by contacting Kelly Wilson at 417-862-5509.


Mizzou Representative A representative from the Mizzou School of Health Professions will be here to talk with students on May 5th during STAR. There is a sign-up sheet in the counseling center.
