Library Hours Monday, November 24 and Tuesday, November 25 the library will only be open for student access before school, 1st, 2nd, 8th hours and second lunch due to Acuity testing.
ATHLETE Physical form procedure... Please note the following CORRECT procedure regarding athlete physical forms. ALL physical forms should be turned in to the HEAD coach of the particular sport. If that coach isn’t located at the high school, the physical form MUST be brought to the AD office. Physical forms will NOT be accepted in the high school front office. Thank you for your assistance in this important issue.
COLLEGE SIGNING... Kathy Prestwich will be signing with Benedictine College for softball on December 15th at 2:45 in the Nixa High School Library. All are welcome to attend.
Bass Fishing club meetings Dec 1 & 15 in the lecture hall at 7:00pm. The first meeting (Dec 1) will be informational and the second (Dec 15) a commitment meeting.
GSA Meeting The next GSA meeting will be Monday, November 24 after school. Please bring donations for our sponsored family/kids. You may also bring your donations to Mr. Sullivan or Ms. Swindell.
ASVAB The ASVAB will be offered at the high school on December 10 during 1-4th hours. There is a sign-up sheet in the counseling center.
Scholarship Scholarship Opportunity: Athnet is offering a $1,000 scholarship available to full-time undergraduate college students who played sports at the high school level. MO Girls State Missouri Girls State is an intensive week of government study and Americanism training sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary. The packet for Missouri Girls State 2015 is now online at www.missourigirlsstate.org The deadline for all completed paperwork is March 1, 2015.
Elks Scholarship Applications for the Elks National Foundation, Inc. 2015 Most Valuable Student Scholarship Contest is now available. You can obtain an application by visiting www.elks.org/enf/scholars/mvs.cfm The counseling center has the address for application submission. Do not submit your application to the local Elks Lodge. The deadline for submission is December 5. The Elks also offer a scholarship to children and grandchildren of Elks members. This application is available at www.elks.org/enf/scholars
Young Entrepreneur Award Applications are being accepted for the Young Entrepreneur Award. Applications can be found at www.nfib.com/YEA The deadline for submission is December 18.
MO JCI Senate Foundation Scholarship The Missouri JCI Senate Foundation has a $250.00 scholarship available. Apply online at http://usjcisenate.org/index.php/scholarship-program The deadline for application is January 9, 2015.
