Poetry Out Loud! There is a new club forming at Nixa High School- Join Poetry Out Loud! Poetry Out Loud is a national high school poetry recitation contest where students compete on a school level, then winners can move onto regionals, state and then the national contest. Poetry Out Loud is sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts. State winners receive $200 and an all-expense paid trip to Washington DC with the national winner taking home the $20,000 grand prize. Note: Poetry Out Loud is about reading, celebrating and memorizing famous poems, not writing your own poems. If you want a chance to win $20,000, come check out Poetry Out Loud. The first club meeting will be Wednesday, Dec 2nd in Ms. Tarrant’s room, 319. Come join us at either 7am or 2:35.

ASVAB Juniors and Seniors: The ASVAB will be given on December 11th in the lecture hall beginning at 7:45. There is a sign-up sheet in the counseling center.

National Honor Society National Honor Society has a required meeting Tuesday Dec 1, 2015, in the 3rd floor lecture hall. Students may come at 7:10am or 2:40pm. If you cannot come, you need to contact Mrs. McGoon in room 268.

"Carols on the Belle" On Sunday, December 6, the Nixa High School Chamber Singers have been invited to perform as the opening act on the Showboat Branson Belle as part of their “Carols on the Belle” show featuring Triumphant Quartet. We are excited to offer highly discounted tickets to the Nixa community for this event. Simply call the general reservation line at 1-800-888-7277 and mention code # 4116. You do not have to have a student in Chamber Singers to receive the discount. We hope to see many familiar faces in the audience!

Cox Medical Explorers A representative from Cox Medical Explorers will be here on January 7th to discuss the application process and program requirements. There is a sign-up sheet in the counseling center.
