ACT Workshop Juniors: We have the opportunity to attend an ACT workshop presented by Chad Cargill. This workshop will be held on March 30th on the Missouri State campus. More information is available in the counseling center.

High School Spring Sports Registration High School athletes...it's time to get registered for spring sports. ALL athletes must complete the online registration BEFORE he/she will be eligible to participate. The registration site (https://nixa-ar.rschooltoday.com/) has the required videos, info. on drug testing, concussion, etc. and parent/athlete sign-off pages. Physical forms may be scanned online, but that is optional. Physical forms are NOT accepted in the HS front office. If the head coach is located in the high school building, physical forms should be given directly to the coach. IF the head coach is NOT located in the high school, the physical form may be turned in at the AD office. NOTE...if the athlete registered and participated in fall or winter sports, he/she does NOT have to register again or attend the spring MSHSAA meeting. Pay Activity Participation Fee ($45) ONLINE with School Pay. If fee was paid for fall or winter sport, it does not need to be paid again. https://nixapublicschools.schoolpay.com/ The Spring Sports MSHSAA compliance meeting is Mon, March 6 at 6:30pm in the library.
Girls Soccer Any girl interested in coming out for soccer needs to be at a meeting after school on Thursday 2/23/17 from 2:40-3:30pm in Coach Palmer's room (304).
Poetry Out Loud Poetry Out Loud will have a guest speaker on Tuesday, February 28th. Aly Richardson will share poems she wrote when she competed in the International World Poetry Slam in Arizona this year. Her poems deal with her struggles with gender identity. We will meet in the third floor lecture hall after school on February 28th and all are welcome to attend.
GSA GSA will be joining Poetry Out Loud on Tuesday, 02/28/17, to hear Aly Richardson's poetry. The meeting will be right after school in the third floor lecture hall.
Build My Future Students interested in the construction industry have an opportunity to attend Build My Future Construction Career Day and Industry Showcase. The date for this showcase is Wednesday, April 12th. If you would like to attend this event, please complete the permission slip found on School Pay under "Build My Future."
Interact Meeting There will be an Interact Meeting after school only on Wednesday, March 1 in room 241. After the meeting we will stuff Easter eggs to help prepare for the Nixa Parks Easter egg hunt.
Writer's Guild Writer's Guild will meet every Monday after school in room 256, Mr. Lawless, please bring a pencil.
